Overview

El presente volumen ha sido concebido como una presentación de la situación actual de la filosofía latinoamericana, persiguiendo un doble objetivo. Por un lado, queremos ofrecer una ayuda a los que inician sus estudios sobre la filosofía latinoamericana, brindándoles varias contribuciones panorámicas que les permitan obtener una primera aproximación a la estructura histórica y sistemática del desarrollo de la misma. Y, por otra parte, la presente obra quiere ser también un instrumento de trabajo para aquellos que deseen profundizar en el conocimiento de los grandes temas de reflexión que han ocupado y ocupan actualmente el centro de atención de la producción filosófica en América Latina, como son los contenidos filosóficos básicos presentes en las grandes etapas históricas, así como la actualización de la filosofía de la liberación, la propuesta de una filosofía intercultural latinoamericana o el desarrollo de las filosofías contextuales como las indígenas o afroamericanas.
